The Junior Leadership Team (JLT) provides pupils with a meaningful voice in the leadership and continued improvement of St John Plessington Catholic College.

Working closely with the Headteacher, senior leaders and staff, JLT members represent the views and experiences of pupils across the school. They help identify priorities, suggest improvements and contribute to decisions that affect school life.

The Junior Leadership Team:

• Represents the views of pupils across all year groups
• Meets regularly with school leaders
• Contributes to school improvement and pupil voice activities
• Supports assemblies, events and community initiatives
• Promotes positive behaviour, attendance and belonging
• Helps strengthen inclusion, equality and wellbeing
• Welcomes visitors and represents SJP at important events
• Supports charitable, environmental and social-action projects
• Models the highest standards of conduct, leadership and service

The JLT is led by its Co-Chairs, who work with other pupil representatives to coordinate its work and communicate with the wider school community.

Through their service, members develop confidence, teamwork, communication and leadership skills. Most importantly, they help bring our mission and values—Compassion, Respect, Determination and Justice—to life.

Our Junior Leadership Team members are excellent ambassadors for SJP and demonstrate that pupils are not simply consulted about their school: they are actively involved in helping to shape its future.
