On Thursday May 5th we welcomed Bronnie to SJP and a special welcome to her base guitarist, Mason Levi. The students in Years 8 and 9 met in the college hall for the first two lessons and enjoyed a mini concert at which Bronnie performed a variety of her own songs and some well-known cover versions.
Well done the Sixth form football team won the Wirral Schools U19 Cup semi-final against Mosslands 5- 2 on Thursday 4th May.
Last week Year 10 students engaged in various workshops at Liverpool university linked to the research completed on investigating the extent and effect of climate change.
Shortly before our half term break some of our year 8, 9 and 10 travelled to Paris on our annual trip. It was fantastic to be able to travel abroad again after such a long period of time and all pupils fully threw themselves into the experiences that were on offer.

St John Plessington Catholic College and St Mary’s Catholic College hosted a night of live music in New Brighton on Friday 8 April.
The schools, which are part of Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust, took over Hope Anti- Supermarket, New Brighton, with a number of student bands and singers playing in the venue.

One of our amazing Year 10 students worked tirelessly to create an exceptionally elegant couture outfit made from 100% recycled materials.
Performance in Education company entertained our Year 9 students with a Future Forward theatre show. Through a combination of drama, comedy, music and dance, a group of fully trained actors explored the diversity of future paths that will be available to our young people after completing GCSEs.

If a student arrives late to school, you will be informed and they will be expected to make the time up at the end of the day.
