Firstly, many thanks for all of the positive feedback that we are receiving regarding remote teaching and learning – your support with this is very much appreciated and never taken for granted. I write further to the government announcement regarding the return to face to face teaching for all pupils, we are looking forward to welcoming back more of our pupils from Monday 8th March.

Our school is offering support for parents and carers commencing in the form of a four session programme of reflective groups led by a trained facilitator. The theme of the group beginning this half term is ‘Parenting adolescents: reflecting on the challenges.’ The sessions will provide some knowledge and understanding of adolescent development and strategies to support your child through these challenging times.

In order to streamline and improve communication channels between key staff and our parents at SJP, we have set up a number of specific email addresses. Please use these to contact relevant year teams, get support with IT / Google classroom login issues, report safeguarding or subject queries / contacting departmental staff.

Please note that Friday 15th January is our Review Day for Years 7 and 10. The appointments will be conducted remotely using the School Cloud software. The meeting can be conducted on a person’s mobile phone, if it is a Smart Phone.

As you will no doubt have heard in the press, GCSE and A Level exams will not go ahead as planned in the summer. Instead, a form of teacher assessment will replace them.
