Living History Experience Day
On Tuesday 13th November pupils in years 8-11 took part in a Living History Day. Pupils took part in an interactive presentation in the College Hall about medicine on the Western Front during the First World War.

Over Two hundred year 7 pupils visited the Dewa Centre in Chester to further their understanding of the Roman history of Chester.
On Tuesday 13th November 2018, SJP collaborated with 'Read Now, Write Now' to commemorate the WW1 centenary.
On Saturday morning SJP attended the 2nd Cross Country meet of the season. In cold conditions, SJP once again proved to be a force as the team raced their way to great results.
On Wednesday 14th November, year 8 pupils Grace, Nicky, Kallum and Jordan enjoyed a day at Unilever Port Sunlight. The day was arranged to educate and inspire the pupils through Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
During the month of November, we especially remember those who have died, from our families and among our friends. We are grateful to them for the faith and for the gift of family they have passed on to us or the friendship they have given to us. We thank God for all those who have touched our hearts and our lives.
This initiative is proving to be highly successful and popular amongst staff. We have been leading sessions on mindfulness, yoga and we’ve started a running club! Huge thanks to those who have given up their time to lead these sessions and there is plenty of room for other staff to join us! All are welcome!
On Friday 19th October 2018, two hundred and seventy, year seven students along with their Form Tutors, College Staff, Parents and Carers, gathered together in St Anne’s Church in Rock Ferry to celebrate our Year Seven Mass of Welcome.
At SJP, it is not only the pupils who are put through their paces to achieve! Here, the staff are also encouraged to develop further skills for themselves by taking part in a whole range of extra continued professional development programmes.
On 18th October 18 students and 2 teachers from SJP, along with 16 students and 2 teachers from St Mary's Catholic College, set off for Shanghai and Taicang in China.
October was national ‘Black History Month’ and SJP’s A Level Art students recently attended an event at Tate Liverpool which was organised through a collaboration between the gallery and Liverpool JMU.
Cyber Re:coded was a new cybersecurity event designed to show pupils exactly what a job in cybersecurity looked like, what exciting innovation is shaping the industry, and put pupils in touch with future employers.
