The trip was fantastic! This report describes the wonderful adventures of a year 13 geography trip which was the first one of the year, which took place on Wednesday 21st September 2022, where students compared the regenerational developments in the city regions of Liverpool (from
Liverpool One to the Baltic Triangle and more) and Birkenhead (Pyramids Shopping Centre) with the aims and hopes of collecting data for their coursework for their A levels.
Dear Parents & Carers
Following the announcement from Buckingham Palace of the death of our sovereign, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the end of the State Funeral. This is a period of time for reflection in response to the death of the Sovereign.
On Thursday 8th September students from across the HFCMAT were invited to St Joseph's Primary School, Birkenhead to explore the definition of creativity and to research what creativity means to them. 12 students from SJP attended as part of their role on the Junior Leadership team.
Dear Families
It has been wonderful to have our students back in school this week. Year 7 has made a great first impression.
Whilst the vast majority of students have returned back to college looking smart, wearing the correct uniform and following our ready, respectful and safe rules, there have sadly been a number of students who have not.
Dear Families
As the summer break draws to a close, I’m writing to remind you about a number of important points as we return to school.
September 2022
We are looking forward to welcoming all students back to the college from Monday 5th September as follows:

St John Plessington students celebrate A’Level and BTEC results
Sixth form students from St John Plessington Catholic College, Bebington, collected their A-level and BTEC results alongside their friends and family this morning [Thursday 18 August].
Dear students, parents and carers,
Congratulations to all of you on making it through an incredibly tough two years. Many of you were unable to sit GCSEs in 2020 and so this summer’s exams were the first external assessments you took. It’s a tremendous achievement, and we are very proud of you.
As you will be aware, we have been busy organising our SJP Year 6 into Year 7 summer school. We have finalised plans and have many different activities planned for students during the week. We hope that summer school ensures that the newest members of our college community have the very best start, making excellent relationships with both their peers and staff. Research shows that students who continue learning and keep active during the summer are better prepared for the next school year, it gives them confidence and can increase the likelihood of success in future years.
This week, you’ll get your results. To get to this point, you have shown real dedication to your studies and resilience in sitting your formal exams and assessments after the disruption of the pandemic. This will stand you in good stead whatever choices you make about your next steps, whether that be an undergraduate course, apprenticeship, or employment.
SJPs Open Evening will take place on Thursday 8 September 2021 from 6.00 pm. No booking is required, although we do request you fill out our form below.
