Dear families
I hope that you have had a restful Easter break and that you have enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time together.
Dear Parent / Carer,
We are pleased to confirm that we have now booked a date and venue for our Year 11 Prom 2023 to celebrate their journey so far with us at St. John Plessington Catholic College.
Dear Parents and Carers,
As you know the NEU union has planned a further two days of strike action. I write to give you notice that the next strike days will take place on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March 2023. The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government over teachers’ pay and conditions and not because of any issues at our school.
Dear Parent / Carer
Please find attached an amended timetable for the remaining Year 11 trial examinations.
Dear Families
Notification of Yr 9 Options Evening Tues 21st March 2023
I hope you are keeping well.
The drama department has had a very busy few weeks! Following on from the resounding success of 'Grease' we have jumped feet first into resuming our enrichment and theatre visit schedule.
This week is National Careers Week (NCW) and schools across the country will be taking part. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance to our students. A wide range of labour market information will be provided highlighting information such as current growth sectors and jobs within our region. Our students will also have access to a range of online events and activities throughout the week.
Dear Families
NATIONAL CAREERS WEEK (NCW) 2023
As part of our personal development programme for our pupils, we will be taking part in National Careers Week 2023, which runs from Monday 6 March for 1 week in all schools across the country.
Dear Families
I write to you following yet another busy half term here at SJP. We have ended this week with our amazing production of Grease and a visit from Chris Lubbe. Today our Eco club raised over £170 for the earthquake appeal through a breaktime cake sale.
Dear Parent/Carer,
I am writing to inform you that the School Age Immunisation Service will be offering Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio and Meningitis ACWY vaccinations at your child’s school on Tuesday 7th March.
Dear Parents and Carers,
The NEU union has declared a further day of strike action. I write to give you notice that the next strike date will be on Tuesday 28th February 2023. The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government over teachers’ pay and conditions and not because of any issues at our school.
Due to the impact this will have on the number of staff who will be in school on this day, I am writing to inform you that SJP will be closed to all pupils in year groups 7- 10. Please do not send your child into school on this day. We will, however, remain open to all pupils in Key Stage 5 (Y12/13). Yr12 Option Block B trial exams also take place as scheduled.
